Following our trip to the Javakheti area, we returned to Tbilisi for about a week where we could rest and relax a little and get ready for the next area on our itinerary. We hired a driver to take us to the Kakheti Region, also known as the wine region. We spent a few days each in the towns of Sighnaghi and Telavi. Every family had their own vineyard and made their own wines. We spent time walking around the cities, learning about their ancient wine making process, and tasting some of the fruits of their labor (wines made in Qvevris).
