Montenegro

Dates:
05/10/24 to 05/16/23

After spending nearly a month in Albania, it was time to move onto our next country, Montenegro. We traveled by bus from one country to the other with a relatively easy border crossing. The border crossing process consisted of the bus driving us to the Albanian border exit booth. Each passenger got off the bus and walked to the border kiosk where their passports were stamped and they were checked out of Albania. We all then walked ahead into the dead zone where we waited for the others. Once all the passengers completed this process, the bus was then boarded and inspected by the border patrol (to assure there was no one else on board), and then the bus drove forward so we could all re-board. The bus then drove through the dead zone to the border entrance of Montenegro where the whole process started over again…Except this time it was to “stamp” us into the country of Montenegro. The process is easy, but can be a little time consuming with an entire bus load of people.

Montenegro is a small and very beautiful country that has become extremely popular and busy in the recent years. The country is also very touristy and a bit overcrowded for our liking which is why we only spent one week in three different destinations. All in all, we enjoyed our time in Montenegro and the country is still worth a visit.
