After spending an extremely hot summer in Cozumel (Mexico), we set off in October for a 2 month trip to explore a few other parts of Mexico. We started our trip in the Guadalajara and Lake Chapala area. We immediately fell in love with the area, the local people, and the fabulous year round weather. We will definitely be returning in the future. We spent a short 5 days in Aguascalientes, but those few days were enough for us to see the sites. During our Mexico trip last year, we visited Guanajuato and liked it so much that we decided to return this year for a month. Guanajuato is one of those towns that always has something going on, and also a place where you can wander around everyday and see something new. The first 10 days we had great weather, and then it turned cold…too cold for us. But, we still had a fabulous time. Despite the cold weather, we will definitely return again. We ended this year’s Mexico trip in San Luis Potosi. Here we arrived to heavy rain on what the locals were calling the “coldest day of the year”. Luckily, after a few days, the weather dried out and warmed up and we were able to make our way around the area to see the sites. When we are not traveling to other parts of the world, we always return to Mexico…Sometimes, we stay somewhere for a few months to chill out, and other times we move around to explore new destinations. All in all, we love Mexico!!!
