While staying in Vienna, Austria, we took a day trip to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. Bratislava was only about an hour train ride away. It’s crazy how different one train station can be from another. As previously mentioned, Austria’s tranportation is very easy and very well marked, Slovakia was definitely not the same. It certainly felt like we were in a different country. There was nothing wrong with the train station, it simply was noticeabley different (not very organized or easy). Since we were so close to another country, we figured why not check it out. Bratislava was very beautiful and a great way to spend the day. We walked around the old town and headed to a viewpoint across the Danube river, the UFO Tower. This short train ride was a great way to add another country to our “Countries Visited” list.
